hange in motorcycle
manufacturing is happening
faster than a Ducati Panigale
accelerates, but the forces
shaping this change are largely
beyond the control of Australian and
New Zealand distributors. We don’t
make our own bikes and the distributors
have always had to pick and choose from
what’s available overseas to fill their
showrooms.
Some bikes, like adventure tourers,
suit our terrain and conditions. Others,
possibly including the new breed of
superbikes, are still big sellers in Europe
but are becoming less relevant here as
the police in the southern hemisphere
refine their ability to detect and enforce
speeding violations. You can buy a BMW
