Personality
Cats are more solitary than dogs because, as a species, cats hunt alone. They have a
reputation for doing things because they want to, not because their owners want them to.
Food
Cats need to have water available at all
times. They should be fed wet or dry food
once or twice per day, though your vet may
direct you to feed a kitten more often.
Attention
Cats are more independent than dogs, so they
can be left alone for longer periods of time.
Training ability
Training cats to sit, stay, come, etc. is hard
because they don’t crave the approval of
others the way dogs do.
Potty training
This is a pretty simple process for most cat
owners. After showing your kitten its
litter box and leading it to the
box a few times after
naps or mealtime, your
cat will instinctively use
it to go to the bathroom.
Sleep
Cats sleep 12 to
16 hours per day.
Noise levels
These cute creatures are known
for meowing or purring, so they
don’t make too much noise.
