The Duchess of Beaufort and Matt
Ramsden, Master of the Duke of
Beaufort’s Hunt, tend to the hounds
in the North Hall, which was rebuilt in
1740 by James Gibb. The 1734 painting
is by John Wootton, who was a groom
at Badminton before he became
an accomplished sporting artist.
