Kentucky-born Tinashe sounds rejuvenated
on this, her fourth studio album, with some
critics even considering it her most polished

- After her birth in the Kentucky city of
Lexington, Tinashe relocated to Los Angeles
as a child. - Her name means “We have God (or God
is with us)” in the language of Zimbabwe’s
Bantu ethnic group known as the Shona. - Songs For You has already hit top position
on the iTunes Album Chart. - Tinashe recorded the album at her home
studio in Los Angeles. - On occasions promoting Songs For
You, Tinashe has described it as her most
“vulnerable” project yet.
