LIQUID
A liquid does not have a fixed shape, but does have a fixed volume. Its atoms can move past each other, allowing the liquid to flow so that
it takes up the shape of its container. Atoms in a liquid are linked together more strongly than in a gas, but not
as strongly as in a solid.
Even without being brought to
boiling point, some of the atoms
in liquid water can break free
from the surface to become a gas.
This is known as evaporation
