Scenting your hair is a good
way to make it smell divine and
absorb excess oil. Now, some of
our most-loved perfumers are
getting in on the act, with
hair-friendly versions of their
fragrances. Byredo already offers
some of its classics – such as
Gypsy Water and Flowerhead

  • as hair perfumes, and has now
added its new scent, Slow Dance,
£50, to the line-up. Also try
    Gisou Honey Infused Hair
Perfume, £61, or Hair by Sam
    McKnight’s sprays infused with
scents created by Lyn Harris, £25.

Perfectly honest
Actor Jessica Alba’s Honest Beauty is
a US hit because of its, well, honest
approach to skincare and make-up –
and it reaches our shores this month.
Favourites include the Gentle Gel
Cleanser, £16, a calming, paraben- and
fragrance-free cleanser; the Lip Crayon
in Mulberry, £15, a semi-matt, balmy
tint; and Dusk Reflection Luminizing
Glow Powder, £23, which keeps you
shine-free but with a subtle, healthy
glow. Finally, Magic Beauty Balm, £15,
is a multi-use skin balm for
any area that needs extra
attention; the secret is the
botanical oil and organic
fruit blend. We’re hooked.

A TALE OF TWO RETREATS
Linnaean is a new health, beauty and lifestyle concept
space in London where store-meets-clinic. Choose
treatments from Orveda, MZ Skin and Dr Barbara Sturm,
in addition to microneedling, IV infusions and hydrafacials.
There’s also a salon offering vegan and ammonia-free colour
services, plus a shop selling luxury products. And if a trip
to the country is on the cards? Look out for Lime Wood’s
fitness retreats. Taking place about six times a year, the
three-day programmes, hosted by Matt Roberts, include
five hours of training a day – encompassing strengthening
and Pilates – and nutritional guidance from Amelia Freer.
Lime Wood, from £1,890 for single occupancy,
including breakfast, lunch and dinner
