What are you up to? Besides being a
full-time pharmacy manager, I edit and
design photo prints, mostly floral-themed.
I recently did a very exciting collaboration
with Urban Outfitters. They had me
capture their nature-inspired floral tops
with my own floral edits around them. I
love seeking out new locations for cool
shots, and I found a beautiful tulip field for
the majority of those photographs.

How do you combine two such
different jobs? I spend my free time
editing and working on prints. In the
pharmacy, I don’t use much of my
creative mind, so this combination of
both worlds inspires and drives me. It’s
a lot, and can often be overwhelming,
but it also keeps me going. The balance
works well, and I have a routine now.
Having a creative outlet is something
I’ve always needed.

Can you describe an average
working day? It’s often quite long. If I
am closing the pharmacy, I’ll go in to
work later. I usually wake up early to go
for a run, then I sit and edit for a few

hours. If I have to be in the pharmacy
early, I usually work a full day and come
back to editing. Sometimes I work until 1
or 2 a.m. if I have a good flow going.

How did making wildflower prints
become your passion? I always loved
California, and Big Sur became my
happy place and I seemed to always
gravitate toward the beautiful wildflowers
surrounding the rugged Pacific coastline.
When I lived in New York City, it didn’t
take long to realize how much I missed
these views every day. I would commute
to work on the packed subways, pretty
overwhelmed, and figured out that I had
to channel this energy into something
that distracted me. So, it was never
really planned, but editing and creating
became my thing.

How would you describe your
designs, what gives them your
signature? My images are mainly
composed of a floral scene with various
flowers. My favorites are sunflowers and
California poppies. I use lots of colors
with warm tones, and a vintage look.
