NAME: Dina Nayeri

BORN: 1979 in Tehran, Iran

CAREER: Author. Dina began her

career working as a consultant

for McKinsey and then as a

strategist for Saks Fifth

Avenue. She started acting on

her ambition to become a writer

in her late twenties, and her

debut novel ‘A Teaspoon of Earth

and Sea’ was published in 2013,

when she was 33. It has been

translated into fourteen

languages. She has written a

second novel,‘Refuge’, and her

first non-fiction book, ‘The

Ungrateful Refugee’, was

published earlier this year.

She lives in London, UK,

with her partner, Sam, and

daughter, Elena.
