Where to stay, what to do, and how to pack for an unforgettable winter break

NEWS
If you thought Art Basel
Miami Beach couldn’t get
any bigger, you were
wrong. Two new
museums are set to open
ahead of the art world’s annual seaside
bonanza, running December 5–8: El
Espacio 23, from real estate developer
and art collector Jorge M. Pérez (as in
Pérez Art Museum Miami), and the Rubell
Museum, both in Miami’s Allapattah
neighborhood. “Time for Change,” the
inaugural exhibition at El Espacio 23, will
bring together pieces from more than 80
artists from around the world that engage
with social unrest, and the Rubell
Museum will take a similarly global
approach in its debut survey of
contemporary art of the past 50 years.
