A glittering sorority came together in New

York for Bazaar’s unmissable Icons party

‘To me, there is nothing more iconic than being singular.

No one before you, or after – and no copycats.’ This was the

empowering message Carine Roitfeld gave to the cohort

of extraordinary women who gathered at New York’s Plaza

Hotel in honour of her annual Icons photo-shoot in Bazaar.

Buoyed up by Moët Champagne and martinis, a coterie of

supermodels, including Heidi Klum and Ashley Graham,

joined the screen legend Lauren Hutton for a roof-raising

performance by Alicia Keys. Embracing individuality was

the theme of the night, but there was a high-carat

commonality between some guests: Christy Turlington,

Lily Collins and Alek Wek all dazzled in jewels by Cartier,

Bazaar’s co-host for the night. CB
