In her short tenure at

Givenchy, Clare Waight

Keller has offered couture of

exquisite taste and rigour. But

this collection showed a more

radical, freer spirit: ‘It’s the

idea of an anarchic woman,’

she explained backstage. This

translated to voluminous

taffeta dresses and capes,

feathers sprouting wildly from

beneath sweeping skirts, and

a fantastical, sensational take

on the monochrome that has

become her signature.
