Pastel watercolour washes
and hand-drawn lines
combine in Jo Bird’s beautifully
feminine illustrations, which she
says evoke ‘the sumptuous fabrics and
incredible craftsmanship that
go into every fashion collection’,
including the tangerine-themed
Valentino haute couture dress
that inspired her entry.

Working from her home studio,
the artist Hannah Wooll is interested
in how domestic objects – from ceramic
vases to old photographs – can be
turned into works of art. For her entry
Givenchy Girls, she drew over a found
image of flowers with ink, creating a
softly lit, dreamlike atmosphere that
reflects fashion’s fantastical side. FH

Taking her cue from Henri Matisse,
Beth Fraser uses collage and ink
techniques to create multimedia
artworks reminiscent of mid-century
poster art, such as this striking
interpretation of a Marc Jacobs
look. Her recent projects include a
live-drawing session at Selfridges and an
evening of illustration at Soho House.

‘I’ve loved illustrating ever since I was a child,’ says Anjelica
Roselyn. ‘I can still remember sitting down to draw
princesses in my notebook.’ A London College of Fashion
graduate, Roselyn now works as a freelance illustrator and
womenswear designer, creating sketches for clients
including Dior, Marc Jacobs and Moschino. Her exquisite
entry (above), which features a pair of models dressed in
Valentino outfits with Philip Treacy hats, uses pops of
colour and fluid lines to express the vitality of fashion.
