aturally, it was quite a
job for our OPM STARS
to pick the moment that
would crown this top ten
list, let alone select one from this
classic series, and it wouldn’t make
a Licker of sense for us to not so
much as mention Resi VII here.However, the chill you feel on hearing
those booming footsteps drawing
closer and it dawns on you that,
yes, Mr X gon’ give it to ya more
than justifies knocking the seventh
mainline entry off of our list.
We all know by now just where
ol’ Trenchy can and cannot show his
big wrinkly head, but Mr X is still
not a force to be trifled with. Beyond
the fact he’s all but unkillable, and
not worth wasting ammo on unless
you’re desperate for a particular
trophy, he can surprise you evenwhen you think you’ve worked out the
limits of his influence. Take it from us,
being punched through the doorway
of a puzzle room he cannot otherwise
enter is one hell of a lesson in humility.
But what nets him the top spot is the
library sequence. It’d be bad enough if
you only had to deal with the double-
tap-worthy zombies but Mr. X makes
the sliding shelves puzzle all the more
nail biting as he gets closer, and closer.“Those booming
