WHAT IT IS: Margaret Dabbs London Nail Polish
WHY WE LIKE IT:At Vogue we’re always on the lookout for
nail lacquers that stay put and look cute while we multitask on
multiple issues. Our latest nail obsession is the Margaret Dabbs
London72-shade collection. The colours are inspired by the
British love for gardens and smell just as sweet (seriously, each
polish leaves behind a whif of wild roses!). The formula, created
by podiatrist Dabbs, heals and protects while it paints—Vitamin E
works to strengthen nails and wild rose botanical extracts reduce
inflammation and keep infections at bay. The polish is also
formaldehyde-, toluene- and DPB-free.

LIGHTBULB

MOMENT

There’s a “lit from within” glow.
And then there’s this: skin that
looks like it’s been luminised by
a movie crew, courtesy a milky,
hydrating version ofArmani’s
iconic Maestro Foundation
( 4,300).

DRY CLEAN
ONLY
Ok, we all do it, or don’t
actually—wash our hair
after a glossy, voluminous
blowout and end up with
a ‘blah-out’. You know,
the limp, messy, greasy
mane. What you need at
that point is a super-
sopper. We’re currently
crushing on the EIMI Dry
Me Dry Shampoo from
Wella, because unless
you’re auditioning for
the remake ofBees Saal
Baad, talcum-powdered
roots and strands filled with
static just don’t cut it. If you
haven’t tried our second-day
hair saviour yet, here are
our top two reasons to love
dry shampoo:
1.Texture, texture, texture:
There’s nothing better than
dry shampoo to add texture
and give a not-so-fresh mane
a new lease of life. Just hold
at arm’s length, spritz, wait and
shake out.
2.Sexy bed head:Spritz your
roots with water (be frugal) and
then liberally spray on your dry
shampoo to go from limp to
va-va-voom volume!

CAN YOUR METABOLISM
GIVE YOU GREAT SKIN?
Lancôme sure seem to think so! Their new Énergie De Vie
skincare range fi nds its roots in the connection between
metabolism and skincare—they’ve referenced the Eastern
philosophy of Qi Se, which means metabolic harmony and
a balanced energy fl ow that lead to a luminous complexion.
Extracts from the roots of rhodiola, gentian and wild yam
balance, energise and nourish skin, leaving it radiant. If your
skin is oily or combination, try the Énergie de Vie Daily
Lotion-In-Gel, which hydrates and mattifi es. If you fall
on the drier side of the scale, the Énergie de Vie
Daily Cream is your skin’s best friend.
The Lancôme Énergie De Vie range is priced at 2,900 onwards
