Beauty

We all know the importance of self-love and skin
positivity, but sometimes embracing it can be
a challenge. ‘Feeling comfortable and happy in your
own skin can be tough, especially when it comes to
social media and dealing with the self critic from
within,’ says Lee Pycroft, an A-list make-up artist and
psychotherapist who trained at the Human Givens
Institute. When you next apply your make-up, take
a moment to look in the mirror and acknowledge your
thoughts. ‘Tune into any feelings in your neck, head
or stomach and breathe out,’ says Pycroft. If you feel
and look tired, take a gentle approach. Use patting
motions when you touch your face to improve
circulation, and a base that is lightweight, illuminating
and, most importantly, sensory. A cushiony texture
like Sisley Phyto-Teint Ultra Eclat, which also has
nourishing skincare benefits, works well. As does

in Divine. To disguise dark circles, try Estée Lauder’s
Double Wear Radiant Concealer, then energise
your look with light-reflective finishing touches.
A highlighter such as Hourglass’s Ambient Lighting
Powder gives an overall effect that’s glowy, not fake.
