TheMiddleEastInstitute(MEI)at theNationalUniversityofSingapore

is lookingfora directortoleaditsresearchintoareasofrelevanceto

SingaporeandAsia.

MEI,anautonomousresearchinstitutewithintheuniversity,coversthe

MiddleEastandNorthAfrica(MENA),Turkey,AfghanistanandCentral

Asia.It is aninstituteuniqueinSouth-eastAsiaforitsfocus,andis part

ofoneoftheworld’stopuniversities.

AsDirector,youwouldsetanddelivertheyearlyresearchagendafor

MEIandensureitsfocusalignswiththekeyinterestsofstakeholders,

whileinspiringandguidinga teamofhighlymotivated,respected

researchers.

MEIalsohasa strongpubliceducationrole,andtheDirectorwillfulfil

thisbyconceptualisinglecturesandseminars,amongotherevents.

Thisseniorresearchandmanagementroleis opentothosewhoeither

holda PhDina relevantfieldofstudythathasfocusedontheMiddleEast

orrelevantandsufficientworkexperienceintheMiddleEastanda deep

understandingoftheregion.

StrongknowledgeofhowtheMiddleEastinteractswithSouth-east,

SouthandNorth-eastAsiawillbea majoradvantage.
