Uneasy understanding
Roosevelt and Churchill huddle together during the Yalta Conference. Churchill
had energetically promoted the meeting, but was disappointed to discover that
in Yalta the US president was intent on courting Stalin, at the expense of the
previously close relationship between his country and the UK
