GATHER.
Find a selection of leaves
from the yard — big ones like
oak and maple work well.
Make sure they’re totally dry.

PAINT.
Lay one leaf flat on a piece of
paper. Use a paintbrush to cover it
with a single shade of acrylic paint.

MAKE THE PRINT.
While the paint is still wet, pick
up the leaf by the stem and lay
it, paint side down, on a piece of
canvas. Press gently on the back
of the leaf, then peel it off. Repeat
for as many as you wish to create.
Once dry, frame the canvas.
