Unicorn Spit—a nontoxic
paint, glaze, and stain all
in one—to create a faux
marble look on a glass
tabletop, left and below.
To start, squeeze a base
layer of color onto the
table. (We chose white.)
Use a brush or your fingers
to spread it evenly across
the surface. Drip different
colors of paint over the
base color. Spray with
water to mix the colors.
Drag a toothpick through
the dark paint and into
the light paint to create
the look of marble veins.
Continue respraying with
water to keep the paint
liquid while you work.
When you’re pleased with
the design, let dry. Seal
with a few coats of spray
lacquer for shine.
