thick melamine shelf
to your desired unit
length, then cut one
1×3 plank of reclaimed
wood 2 inches beyond
the shelf length. Cut
two more pieces of
reclaimed wood to
2 inches beyond the
melamine shelf width,
then miter corners and
nail or use building
materials adhesive to
attach planks to shelf,
aligning the tops for
a smooth transition.
