When Alison couldn’t
find a coffee table to fit
in with the rest of the
great-room’s vibe, she
took matters into her
own industrious hands.
The anchoring piece, this
photo, was fabricated
using scrap 1×2s mitered
at 45-degree angles and
placed in a geometric
design that fans outward
from the center. The
table legs are 4×4s
stained a dark gray.
