SHIBORI ART Creative folding inspired by shibori, the Japanese

manual resist-dyeing technique, produces an eye-catching pattern,

this photo. First, wash and prepare muslin for dyeing (see “Do It

Better,” page 92). Fold the fabric back and forth to create pleats, and

then roll the strip into a spiral. Bind tightly with rubber bands. Dye
