clothing using rare vintage fabrics for her own

brand, Mad.e, while her nephew, Cristallo

Odescalchi, is a talented painter and sculptor.

While exploring the city, I found Allagiulia’s

velvet slippers to be the perfect accessories.

Designed by Giulia Campeol (whose husband,

Federico Donin, owns a wonderful boutique,

Nia, on Via Vittoria, where you can find her

wares), the shoes are a creative riff on Venetian

friulane (a style favored by gondoliers) and

feature bold fringe. Bonus: With repurposed

bicycle tires for soles, they’re sustainable.
