5 Note: Refer to Assembly Diagram
for following steps. Sew 4 B’s and
3 unit 1’s together as shown to make
a sash. Make 5 sashes total. Sew 4
block rows of 4 unit 1’s and 3 A’s
each as shown. Join rows together,
alternating.
6 Refer to Borders in Quilt Basics. Join
white dot border strips and cut to sizes
shown in Assembly Diagram. Match-
ing centers and ends, sew border side
strips to quilt. Repeat to add border
top and bottom strips.
7 Layer, baste, and quilt, stopping quilt-
ing about 1 ̋ from quilt edge. Sandy
machine quilted meandering and
circles across the quilt surface. Trim
backing even with quilt top and trim
batting ¼ ̋ smaller than quilt top and
backing. Fold backing and batting
towards quilt center and pin. Referring
to Finishing Diagram, evenly space
unit 2’s and unit 3’s on outer edge
of quilt top, aligning raw edges. Layer
unit 4’s between unit 2’s and 3’s as
shown. Baste or pin in place. Stitch
units to quilt top, ¼ ̋ from raw edge;
press. Unpin batting and backing and
smooth fl at. Fold backing raw edge
down ¼ ̋ over batting edge and blind
stitch to back of units to fi nish quilt.
