This pretty purple project was inspired by
a trip of a lifetime through the Highlands
of Scotland. “I had an opportunity to
let the quilting inspiration fl ow, and I
sketched this Highlands fl ower pattern in
between destinations,” Julie said.
The construction is easy to do, and the
visual impact is well worth it! You’ll use
the triangle-square and quarter-square
triangle techniques—the magic is in how
they’re put together.
For the most effi cient use of fabric, cut
the C’s fi rst, then the A’s and B’s. Use an
accurate ¼ ̋ seam allowance throughout
to ensure all elements of the quilt fi t
