To everyone’s surprise, each experi-
ence was completely different.
“No surprise,” a hoarse voice
interrupted. It was the old woman,
now sitting on this far end of the
bridge and handing out T-shirts to
every successful Ghost Walker.
“Inside the bridge you meet your
own fears. You banish them or you
end up in tears.”“We banished!” Rudyard erupted
joyously.
Laughing in relief, the cousins
started off. But when they looked
back to thank the old woman she
had vanished. All at once the night
didn’t seem so spooky. It was time
to go home, drink hot chocolate,
and share every detail of their
freaky Ghost Walk stories.Sift two cups f lour
with one teaspoon
of salt.
Combine with two sticks
of chilled butter. Until you have
