realisedit wasn’tformeandbegan
exploring interior textile design.

passed down through generations.

beenprintedusingnaturalinksand
handmadeblockstamps– it looks
a bit crazy at the moment!

Quiltingis a bitlikemakinga collage,
combiningandlayeringdifferent
shapes,coloursandtextures.A larger
designcantakeanywherebetween
fourweeksandfourmonthsto
complete,dependingoncomplexity,
but it’s incredibly satisfying work.
Wheredoyousourceyour
materials?Factories,finishersand
retailerslookingtogetridofoffcuts,
mostofwhichwouldotherwise end
up being sent to landfill.
What’snextforHouseofQuinn?
Sustainabilityisn’tjustabout
materials;it’salsoaboutkeeping
traditionalcraftingtechniquesalive
bymakingsurethey’retaughtand
shared. This communal aspect is
importanttome,andI’mlooking
to run workshops in the New Year.
