This bed has a footboard in the foreground, a mattress in the
middle, and a headboard in the background. And by rounding the
mattress, instead of drawing it ruler-straight, we give the illusion that
the pillows are receding in the distance, as if they were dipping below
the horizon.



  1. The base is a simple rectangle, which recedes into the distance,
    due to perspective.

  2. Lines A, B, and C slope very slightly upward, toward the left. This
    means that there must be a vanishing point somewhere off the page
    toward the upper left.

  3. The corner, coming at the viewer, is our clue that this is two-point
    perspective.
