The lampshade is also cone shaped, but much wider than the lamp
body.


You may not know the term one-point perspective, but you’ll
recognize it once you see it. It makes sense on an intuitive level. One-
point perspective is when an object, or an entire scene, faces the
viewer in a front view. This is the easiest type of perspective to draw.
We’ll start here.


The reason it’s called one-point perspective is because everything
converges to a single point on the picture, or picture plane, as it’s
called. This point where everything converges is referred to as the
vanishing point. The vanishing point can be placed high or low on the
page, but it must be in the middle, where the horizon occurs. You can
move the horizon line, as well as vanishing point, up or down, but not
side to side.
