75 COOKING WITH PAULA DEEN NOVEMBER/DECEMBER 2019

LUNCH
Th e expansive new location of Paula Deen’s Family
Kitchen (pauladeensfamilykitchen.com) just opened
in the popular Branson Landing shopping district, and
locals and visitors alike are thrilled to welcome Paula’s
best Southern cuisine to town. Visit for a yummy lunch
made up of the tried-and-true eats we all know and
love served family style while you do a little Christmas
shopping from her store and the surrounding shops.
The Keeter Center at College of the Ozarks
(keetercenter.edu) is not your average eatery, but you’re
sure to be impressed. At College of the Ozarks, students
earn their education by working in a wide variety of roles
at the school. Th e restaurant is fully staff ed by students,
who make lovely and delicious dishes for a memorable
supper. You can’t go wrong with any of the fl avorful
menu items, but the dishes made with campus-raised
pork or bacon—such as the Meatloaf Mignon, a bacon-
wrapped meat loaf made with ground chuck, ground
pork, mushrooms, house-made ketchup, and served with
roasted garlic mashed potatoes, brown gravy, and green
beans—are an extra-special treat.

SWEET SNACK
As tasty as all of the area’s savory seasonal cuisine is,
take a break and head to Sugar Leaf Bakery and Cafe
