Appliqué Preparation and
Cutting Instructions
See page 7 for general appliqué preparation instructions.
From black print, cut:
1—36½" square for center background
4—2½" x 36½" strips for outer border
4—6½" squares for cornerstones
5—2¼" x WOF strips for binding
From gray print, cut:
8—2½" x 36½" strips for outer border
From spruce green wool, cut:
4 of Template A for pine branches
1 of Template B for center circle
From gray wool, cut:
4 of Template D for dusty miller branches
From moss green wool, cut:
4 each of Templates E and F for mistletoe
From ivory wool, cut:
1 of Template C for small snowflake
4 of Template G for large snowflakes
96 of Template H for mistletoe berries
From red checkered wool, cut:
76 of Template J for pine branch berries
Sewing Instructions



  1. Fold the 36½" black square in half corner to corner to
    form a triangle, press along the fold. Unfold and fold the
    other direction into a triangle and press along the fold.
    Fold open and mark the center of the quilt where the
    two lines cross.

  1. Referring to the Placement Diagram, pin the spruce
    green circle at the quilt center. Using the pressed fold
    lines as placement guides, position the pine branches in
    place tucking the stem end just under the edge of the
    spruce green circle and lining the branches up centered
    over the fold lines.
