TERESA ALLISON grew up with a mom that sewed a lot, mainly out of necessity. As a young girl, she was fascinated
by her mother’s sewing machine. Any time she got a chance she would sneak into her mom’s sewing room and take
her machine for a test drive: no fabric under the needle, just her hitting the pedal and running it as fast as it would
go. Her mom didn’t appreciate it very much, and as a result she was taught hand sewing first! Many years later she
discovered quilting and it soon became her passion. She especially loves to combine wool appliqué and quilting. She
designs quilts and projects under her design name Blackberry Hills, and lives in the hills of West Virginia.
