¼ yard creamy/white print for stars
8" x 12" creamy/white wool for Nativity
Fat quarter fabric of choice for backing

(^1) / 6 yard Pellon SF101 woven fusible
Valdani Ecru size 12 perle cotton
DMC Ecru size 5 perle cotton
Bohin mechanical pencil with white lead (optional)
Freezer Paper

Appliqué Preparation and
Cutting Instructions
See page 7 for general appliqué preparation instructions.
From navy print, cut:
1 – 8½" x 12½" rectangle for appliqué background
1 – 3½" x 12½" rectangle for embroidery background
3 – 1¼” x WOF strips, then sub-cut into:
32 – 1¼" squares for Star block corners
32 – 1¼" x 2" rectangles for Star block Flying
Geese units
2 – 2¼" x WOF strips for binding
From creamy/white print, cut:
2 – 1¼" x WOF strips, then sub-cut into:
64 – 1¼" squares for Star block Flying Geese units
8 – 2" squares for Star block centers
