Sewing Instructions

1. Referring to the project photo and appliqué diagram for placement, lay
   the 11" medium blue check center background circle on the 13½" dark blue
   circle and press in place. Blanket stitch the outer edge of the 11" center
   background circle with Valdani size 12 dark blue thread.
   2. Position the snow people, hats, and scarves on the 11" center background
   circle and press in place.
   3. Blanket stitch around the snow people bodies, arms, hats, and scarves
   with the appropriate thread color.
   4. Stem stitch the arm outline with the blue/gray size 8 perle cotton.
   5. Stitch two small black glass beads for eyes and embroider the hat
   decorations. (See stitching diagrams in the template insert.)
   6. Satin stitch the noses with orange floss and make black French knots for
   the mouth.
   7. Using a mixture of blue threads, Turkey stitch the left edge of the scarves
   to make fringe.

8. Add seven blue glass beads for buttons and stem stitch a wavy line in the
   dark blue outer border.


9. Layer the top and backing then bind with the 65" of single-fold bias
   binding.
