Autumn came out of the starting gate some weeks ago, and is

now halfway toward the Winter finish line that will mark the

end of the year, so bundle up as the chilly winds begin to blow

and try out our article “Poets, Painters, and

Starry-eyed Prophets.” It begins with an

amazing vision that changed the Roman

Empire, moves along to the story of a

man who began seeing visions from an

early age and learned to use this gift to

help people, then ends with a painter who

startled the world with paintings that thrilled

some and frightened others. How does astrology fit into all

this? Turn to page 32 to find out!

This issue’s second feature article, “Friend, Foe, or Frenemy”

offers advice on a problem we all have, which is how to

approach the task of finding a new friend or companion.

Sometimes a mutual attraction works from the beginning

and lasts for life, while at other times something that

seems absolutely perfect very slowly turns sour, leaving you

wondering how to get out of it without hurting anyone’s

feelings. The solution, found on page 38, is to learn how to get

it right before it starts.
