WEAR
How to make it work for your wardrobe?
Elizabeth von der Goltz, head of buying
at Net-A-Porter explains: ‘Fabrics are
traditional, but the interesting tailoring
makes it modern. The standout piece? The
“suit bustier” – dress it down by wearing
over a tee with denim.’ (We love.)

WHO
The London-based brand is a French- British
duo, founded and designed by Imogen
Wright and Vincent Le Chapelain. The pair
bring their respective experience of studying
womenswear and menswear at Central
Saint Martins (the art school that gave
us Stella McCartney and Alexander
McQueen) to a made in Britain label
turning tradition on its head. How?
By reimagining tailoring, tweaking seams
and cuffs to deliver subtly off-kilter classics.

WHAT
‘It all goes back to the idea of a wardrobe,’ says Wright. So you
can count on the duo for wardrobe building blocks: cotton
poplin button-ups, wool tailoring in classic shades and the
‘do-it-all’ midi-dress (2O19’s star piece, easily dressed up or
down, whether with socks and sandals, or knee-high boots).
‘If you can’t wear the pieces in 1O years, we’re not doing our
job,’ Le Chapelain adds. There’s a timeless quality to their work,
testament to Wright’s experience at (old) Céline and Burberry.
Oh, and it’s sustainable, with fabrics sourced from UK mills,
and a transparent supply chain. Good fashion, on all fronts.
