Calm collector
In The Moment is my absolute
favourite – it’s literally me as a
magazine! Even though I count
myself as a minimalist, I still keep
every copy that I purchase as I
find the articles so interesting
and helpful. It’s perfect for any
hygge moment, and one of my
goals is for my illustrations to be
featured. I am going to work
hard to reach that dream!

Time for you
The other day was just one thing
after another and it all became
too much – so now I’m taking a
mental health day and lounging
around the house in the most
comfy clothes, spraying lavender
to keep me calm. I’m also writing
reasons to be positive on some
In The Moment cards (from a few
months ago). Yes, I may be a
cliché, but if it keeps me alive
and happy, then I’ll take it.

Floral fancy
New obsession: pressing flowers!
I read an article in In The Moment
about this [issue 14] and had to
give it a go on a rainy day. Still
working out which works best,
ironing or book pressing or a
combo of both...

Podcast perk
I listened recently to [your]
podcast with Francine Russell
about mindful eating and I liked

it when she explained being
mindful as coming “out of auto
pilot”.Leonas Mindful Makers,

Perfect fit
I’ve been reading through issue 28
and it is my favourite yet – so
many of the articles resonate with
how I am feeling right now.

Simple self-care
Day two of my self-care challenge
and the theme is ‘gathering’. I
have chosen to gather an array of
things I find nurturing to take for
a leisurely, relaxing bath. These
include crystals, incense, essential
oils and In The Moment.

Welcome distractions
My July magazine took me twice
as long to read. Why? Because I
was sitting in the garden and
every time I picked it up, two baby
robins, three blue tits, two female
blackbirds and a collared dove
stole my attention. On another
occasion it was the coal tits and
goldfinches! Definitely a double
whammy of wellness, mindfulness
and happiness!

Relax and read
I never buy magazines but picked
up In The Moment from Tesco
earlier today. It feels so nice to
relax and read, I don’t do enough
of it. Don’t get me wrong, we still
have lots to do on this house
renovation but it’s good to take
time out to chill once in a while.
