Remove the newsprint, then pull up the leaves, being
careful not to break them. Lay them, ink side up, in
your desired formation on another flat surface. Use a
cotton bud or paintbrush to top up the ink on the leaves in
areas that look patchy.6
Position a clean sheet of paper above the leaves
and slowly let it drop onto them. Once it touches the
leaves you won’t be able to re-position it, so do this step
carefully and deliberately.7
When the paper is resting on the inked botanicals,
cover with newspaper and press it a final time using
your baren, spoon or rolling pin.8
Place the print to one side, or hang it from a wooden
peg for a couple of days, until the ink is completely
dry. Your print is now ready to frame!
