LOUIS VUITTON

COEUR BATTANT EAU

DE PARFUM, £185

What did the world’s
first dawn smell like?
According to master
perfumer Jacques
Cavallier Belletrud,
it was the crisp, cool
note of pear, a touch
of ambrette and a
molecule known as
Cascalone, grounded
with a chypre base of
patchouli and moss, plus
heady, humid notes of
jasmine and narcissus.
Think sensuality meets
freshness. Go out and
seize the day.

LANCOME IDOLE

EAU DE PARFUM, £75

Chafik Gasmi’s smartphone bottle
design is an era-encapsulating
thing of beauty. “I wanted to
add what the smartphone can’t
provide: sensuality and scent, the
heart of our emotions,” says the
architect and industrial designer.
“It redefines the codes of luxury.”
Refillable and recyclable, buy one
as a collector’s item and another
to enjoy the bergamot, patchouli
and rose essence within.

JOY BY DIOR EAU DE

PARFUM INTENSE, £116

Despite coming hot on the
heels of last year’s blockbuster
Joy by Dior, master perfumer
François Demachy’s latest version
of the contemporary classic is
so glorious in its floral intensity,
grounded in creamy sandalwood
from Sri Lanka, that it feels
like an entirely new and more
sensual proposition altogether.
Joyous smiles all round.

YSL LIBRE EAU DE PARFUM, £78

The idea of freedom is intrinsic
to YSL, and is captured here in a rule-
breaking bottle that turns the classic
logo on its side. Scent artists Anne Flipo
and Carlos Benaïm give the traditional
men’s fougère-style fragrance a feminine
twist; while singer-songwriter, and
Vogue cover girl, Dua Lipa is in front
of a blazing sign spelling out
“LIBRE”. You get the message.

GUCCI MEMOIRE D’UNE

ODEUR EAU DE PARFUM, £92

This revolutionary fragrance introduces a new
olfactive family: mineral aromatic. “It results
from the creation of a particular cocktail of new
musks,” says renowned nose Alberto Morillas.
“Roman chamomile is the star ingredient, offering
the perfume a truly groundbreaking identity –
we describe it as ‘elemental’.”
