Born in Melbourne to
southern Sudanese
refugees, Duckie Thot
found her way into
fashion via Australia’s
Next Top Model. But
it wasn’t until she
appeared on the Yeezy
runway that she caught
the eye of Rihanna –
who made Thot one of
the faces of Fenty Beauty,
and summarily became
her mentor. Duckie’s
global breakthrough
came when she starred
in Tim Walker and
Edward Enninful’s
all-black revisioning of
Alice in Wonderland
for the 2018 Pirelli
calendar. And the rest,
as they say, is history.
