WHEN RICCARDO TISCI became chief creative officer at Burberry in 2018, he mapped out
a bold future for the brand that would merge its time-honoured heritage with a playful contemporary
identity. Tisci’s high-concept, covetable design talent is evident in the Lola handbag, named after
English rock band the Kinks’ 1970s hit song. The soon-to-be-classic bag features the house’s signature
check pattern on quilted colour-blocked leather and is set off with an interlocking monogram
and polished chain strap. In summary, it rocks.
