GET, SET, GO!
GOAIR recently announced the opening of its
much-awaited Kuwait-Kannur-Kuwait sector,
close on the heels of launching flights to Abu Dhabi,
Muscat and Dubai. With a starting price of ` 13,160
for a return ticket, GoAir has now introduced its daily
G8 62 flight from Kuwait to Kannur, and G8 61 from
Kannur to Kuwait. And, more cool news: it will deploy
its brand-new Airbus A320neo aircraft on this route
in the Gulf (www.goair.in).

In a first among Indian airports, the CHHATRAPATI SHIVAJI
MAHARAJ INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (CSMIA) recently
launched a new unisex salon service inside its terminals,
so you can really max out your airport look with the help
of internationally-trained staff. The salon will offer an array
of beauty, hair, skin and nail care services via time-based
pampering packages: EXPRESS (services under 15
to 20 minutes), DELUXE (30- to 45-minute services) and
PRIMANTE – services over 45 minutes (Terminal - 1 C,
Departures, opposite Gate 26; Terminal 2: Domestic
Departures, next to Irish Café).

Hosted on the lush green outskirts of the city, Bangalore’s very own music festival is back with
its fourth edition. Celebrating music, art and culture, this year’s stellar line-up will bring sounds
of electronic music, world fusion, underground techno, house, Indian folk, and more to four
uniquely-designed stages.
This year’s theme is ‘The Sanctuary’, and Echoes will pay tribute to endangered species
in India and the world, aiming to create awareness of the need to preserve and protect these
species through pre-event workshops, panel discussions, film screenings and much more.

WHAT: Mahindra Kabira Festival

The fourth edition of the unique Mahindra
Kabira Festival is on its way back to
the historic and fascinating city of
Varanasi to celebrate the life, works and
philosophy of the 15th-century mystic-poet
Kabir. The two-day programme will focus on
music, literature, discourse, curated walks,
boat rides on the Ganga, and an array oflocal
cuisine offering an immersive experience inspired
by Kabir’s teachings.
The line-up for the festival this year includesyoungand
passionate performers such as Neeraj Arya’s Kabir
Café, Neeraj Mishra and Ujwal Nagar, alongside veterans like Om Prakash Nayak,
Mooralala Marwada, Shabnam Virmani and noted sarangi player Ustad Kamal Sabri,
among others, performing at the famous Shivala and Guleria Ghats.

The 12th edition of the Jodhpur RIFF will host over 250 artistes under
the brightest full moon of the year. Committed to premiering novel
collaborations, programming fresh and compelling music and
providing professional opportunities for both legendary and
emerging performers, Jodhpur RIFF has always had a line-up of
a diverse range of performances, spanning multiple genres and
styles, and this year is no exception. Expect Citadels of the Sun,
an unusual musical alliance between Rajasthani and Irish musicians;
the ancient Armenian duduk (a double reed, woodwind instrument)
played by maestro Emmanuel Hovhannisyan in collaboration with
the Swiss-based Authentic Light Orchestra, led by Valeri Tolstov and
Veronika Stalder; maestros Ballake Sissoko from Mali on the kora;
ghatam legend Padma Bhushan awardee TH Vikku Vinayakram;
and the incredible Muzikas from Hungary.
