out. Finally, take a small petal, fold over
on itself, attach with a tiny amount of
water and place in the centre.

Step 5.
Make two flowers. You can mix and match
the petal colours to create different looks.
Take foil, create a ring large enough to sit
the flowers in and leave to set.

Step 6.
To make blackberries, take a small pot
and add a little of each of the Sugarflair
dusts. Add a drop of purple water based
colour and a dash of vodka. Pour pearls
into the pot and shake to coat. Tip out
onto greaseproof paper and leave to dry.

Step 7.
Once dry, take a pea sized amount of
black paste and roll into a teardrop. Insert
a cocktail stick in the round end.

Step 8.
Dip in vodka to wet slightly then roll
around on the coloured pearls pushing
in with your finger and thumb to pack
together and shape. Remove the cocktail
stick. Repeat to make as many as you like.

Steps 9a & b.
To make blueberries, take a small piece
of wire and bend a loop in one end using
the pliers. Roll a ball of black paste (you
can colour with purple dust to give a
more purple hue) and place over the
hooped end. Pinch the end together
so it sits snug onto the wire. Take the
tweezers and gently pinch the paste in
a circular pattern to create the centre
of the blueberry. Finish by dusting with
cornflour. Make 5-6 on wire and tape
up with floral tape. Make some loose
blueberries to sprinkle about as fillers.

Step 10.
Red berries are easy to make and add
lovely colour. Roll a pea sized ball of paste
and airbrush using yellow, green and red.
Spray light layers to build up tone.

Step 11.
For the twigs, roll brown paste into
sausages. Mark lines with the dresden
tool and airbrush with brown and black.
Let dry.

Step 12.
Cover your top two tiers with white paste
rolled to 3mm thick, large enough to cover
each tier. Remember cakes require dowels
or chunky straws to support the weight.

Step 13.
For the bottom tier, create a tree trunk
effect. Cover the cake, making the icing a
little thicker. Once smooth, pinch the top
of the cake to create a ridge. Use foil to
create markings in the sides of the trunk.
