fondant, shape into a ball and make the
pumpkin lines with the dresden tool.

Step 12.
Shape into a pumpkin. Attach black
fondant dots. Apply corn syrup to the
skewer then insert through to the bottom.

Step 13.
Gather 0.2oz of skin tone fondant for
the shoulders and combine with 0.2oz of
fondant for the top of the dress. Make
a hole in the centre and slide onto the
skewer. Dampen with water and attach.

Step 14.
With the X-acto knife, make a shoulder
line. Cut and shape the neck area.

Step 15.
Smooth with your finger for a clean
surface finish. Cut the skewer to the
correct height. Make a hole on the
bottom of the head 0.5” deep.

Step 16.
Carefully attach the head. You can fine
tune facial features if needed. Cut and
shape portions of skin tone fondant for the
arms. Assess the arms against the torso.

Step 17.
Place the arms on the work mat. Add a
tiny amount of tylose to each and roll into
sausages. For the hand, lightly push down
on one end of the sausage. With the
X-acto knife, remove a 45-degree wedge.
Use your finger to shape into a mitten.
Make even cuts on each side to gently
open the fingers. Use the dresden tool to
apply pressure between the thumb and
index finger. Carefully shape the wrist.

Step 18.
Apply a touch of water to the arm and
attach. Add water to skin tone fondant to
make a paste. Apply around the neck and
smooth out with your fingers.

Step 19.
Flatten hair coloured fondant and shape
into a round form. Attach to the back of
the head with water and wrap.

Step 20.
Cut excess hair fondant as shown.

Step 21.
Attach ears. Add tylose to the extra
hair fondant and curl strands around a
toothpick. Attach from the front of the
ears and add a bun on top of the head.

Step 22.
Make a ribbon and bow with black
fondant. Attach at the front of the bun.
