psychology. One of my hobbies, which I
have followed professionally since I was
a teenager, is painting. I learnt art ‘basics’
from one of the best professors. I started
baking cakes in 2015 for fun. A year after,
I created the Enamor Cake Instagram. By
growing the business bigger and bigger, I felt
the need to have a creative colleague and
artist by my side to make our ideas come
to reality. In 2018, my dear fiancé, Vanik
Arshakian, who is an architect, joined me.
Our motto was believe in your magic. We
started designing cakes using new ideas
and techniques, some of which needed
architectural calculations. We are Armenian
Christians but we live in Iran.
This cake was for a nice couple's marriage
anniversary ceremony. They met each other
at a party with a Gatsby theme so ordered
a special cake with the same theme. They
wanted to be surprised by such a unique
and special order and we fulfilled their
wish. They wanted to showcase a blend of
feminine and masculine and this made the
design in our mind look like this; where art
and taste complete each other.
Consisting of three levels of cake and three
levels of cake dummy, the hollow mock
ups were designed to be interconnected
and don't have a common containing wall.
The squares are patched from the inside.
The weight of the cake is about 4kg and
the structure was specially designed to
withstand weight.
It took three weeks to come up with the
final design, two days to make it and three
days for cake levels and the finishing touch.
The sketch is hand drawn and the accurate
calculations are based on weight. The
3D bearing design is made and
amendments are carried out
when needed while the plan is
implemented.
The customers were surprised as we
were expecting and they loved it. The
cake received the best reaction. We
had lots of comments from our
lovely followers on Instagram who
were so kind to us. The structure
had surprised everybody.
