that you don’t need to complete one

recommend the scribble exercise on
page 54 as a particularly fun way to
get started).
When you consider the amount of
expertise and level of teaching
contained within this book, it’s hard to
believe it costs less than £10. Offering
excellent value for money, this is the
ultimate beginner’s guide to drawing
the human body.

The book falls short as a resource,
however, with its content listing. While
it’s divided into chronological sections,
the table of contents lists simply the
name of each chapter. The
Introduction to the ZBrush Interface
chapter, for example, is 59 pages long
and includes everything from base
mesh generation to navigating around
your model. But the only way to find
these individual features is to sift
through the entire section, which is
both time-consuming and frustrating.
There’s no denying the quality of
content here, but if you’re planning on
purchasing, you might want to invest
in some Post-it Notes at the same time.
