thighs,halved
3tbspteriyakisauce
1 onion,halvedandsliced
1 garlicclove,crushed
1 stemlemongrass,sliced
2tbspvegetableoil
juiceof1 lime
200gshort-grainrice
200gTenderstembroccoli
springonions,shredded
carrots,cutwitha julienne peeler
2tbspricevinegar
1tsphoney
1tbsp sesame seeds

1 Seasonthechickenthighs,piercing
themseveraltimeswitha sharpknife.
Putintoa non-metallicdish.Drizzle
overtheteriyakisauce,onion,garlic,
lemongrass,oilandlimejuice. Cover
andchillforatleast1 hr.
2 Rinsethericein coldwater,drainand
putintoa pan.Pourover450mlcold
waterandadda pinchofsalt.Coverand
bringtotheboil.Stir.Reducetheheat
andsimmerfor12-15mins.Remove
fromheatandstand,covered,for 10
minstoallowthericetofinishcooking.

chickenandfryfor5 mins,cover and
cookfora further5 mins.
