After the storm
A water-filled coffin was among the debris found
on Sept. 11 in a cemetery in McLean’s Town, on
the island of Grand Bahama, in the aftermath
of Hurricane Dorian—creating an image that
photographer Ramon Espinosa describes as “a
very clear message of what the storm brought.”
After the hurricane devastated the archipelago’s
northern islands, leaving at least 51 people dead
and thousands homeless, Bahamians faced a
monumental recovery effort.
