Know your surroundings while you engage. Students often
end up on the ground when they spar because they are too
focused on one particular item or idea. In reality, you should

Develop discipline. Students often say, “I want to spar,” but when it
gets down to suiting up and actually doing it, many are never to be
seen again. Many people want to learn martial arts, but disciplined students
are few and far between. Be that disciplined student.
