SARAJEVO TO SREBRENICA, TO COVER ANTICIPATED BOSNIAN
SERB ARMY (BSA) ATTACK ON THE U.N.-DECLARED “SAFE HAVEN.”
COS WAS ON THE GROUND IN SREBRENICA FROM 8–18 JULY 1995,
UNDER IRISH PHOTOJOURNALIST COVER. COS OBSERVED EVENTS
DESCRIBED BELOW, OR OBTAINED INFO FROM U.N., BOSNIAN SERB
AND BOSNIAN MUSLIM SOLDIERS, EYEWITNESSES AND SURVIVORS.
COS RETURNED SAFELY TO SARAJEVO ON 18 JULY BY INSERTING
HIS VEHICLE INTO MILE-LONG CONVOY OF RETREATING DUTCH
U.N. SOLDIERS. - FOLLOWING IS TEAR LINE REPORT ON FALL OF SREBRENICA.

MLADIC BEGAN FINAL ASSAULT ON U.N. SAFE HAVEN OF SRE-
BRENICA, WITH MORTAR, ROCKET, AND ARTILLERY ATTACKS
AGAINST THE REFUGEES. ON 10 JULY, BSA FORCES OVERRAN
SEVERAL U.N. POSTS SURROUNDING THE ENCLAVE, AND TOOK
HOSTAGE SEVERAL DOZEN DUTCH U.N. SOLDIERS. NATO BOMBED
ONE BSA TANK, AFTER WHICH GEN. MLADIC IMMEDIATELY THREAT-
